Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Center for Urological Regional Entrepreneurship (also known as CURE) is a nonprofit organization funded by the Heinz Endowments.
Its mission is to "steward the basic science research discoveries from the time they leave the laboratory to the time when the company resources can fund future investigation with the ultimate goal of successful clinical application". The funding received from the Heinz Endowments through CURE is a significant catalyst for advancing ideas, bringing new treatments to the Urologic arena while contributing to the economic development of the Pittsburgh region.
