[edit] I'm going to remove...

...the reference to "Roman Catholic" in the first sentence. It's anachronistic and begs too many questions. The sentence can be made indisputable with a bit of modifying. I have to think about it for a while.  Sean Lotz  talk  08:43, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
