The Celebrity Solstice is a cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises that will enter service in 2008. She will have four sister ships, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, and two as-of-yet unnamed ships. The sisters will enter service in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, respectively [2]. After completion she will be the largest cruise ship built in Germany.[citation needed]

[edit] Exterior design
Externally the Celebrity Solstice will look very different from previous Celebrity Cruises ships. In original exterior renderings, the hull was shown as all-white with powder blue funnels and blue glass upper decks.[3] In a more recent update, the light blue color has been changed to Celebrity's normal dark blue color and the hull is showing a resemblance to the current fleet's livery.[citation needed] Similarly, the large dark blue funnel with a white X that has been the trademark of Celebrity thus far will be replaced by two thin funnels, with the X logo of the company visible in the glass balcony railings at an aft portion of the ship.[3]
[edit] Amenities
Solstice and her sisters will offer over seven different stateroom categories, including the new AquaClass.
Other onboard amenities will include a large theater, multiple restaurant dining options, The Patio on the Lawn, numerous bars and clubs, Solstice Deck, youth facilities, Online@Celebrity, and many other common and unique features. Some new innovations that have been revealed include glass-blowing classes/demonstrations as well as The Lawn Club, a live grass lawn between the ship's funnels on the upper deck.[4]
