Cefn yr Ystrad is a mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales.
It has an elevation of 617 metres. It is the southernmost peak in the Brecon Beacons, rising east of Pontsticill Reservoir. The summit area is a vast moorland plateau, with the highest point marked by a trig point.
