There is a good interview with Robinson ("Capitalism, Marxism, and the Black Radical Tradition: An Interview with Cedric Robinson") here: http://www.negations.net/?p=42 I have to post the link on this page, because Wikipedia's shadowbot keeps deleting it from the main entry page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.120.140.221 (talk) 11:45, May 22, 2007

Hi. First, you should sign your comments by adding ~~~~ at the end.
Second, the link was deleted (only once) because it is a blog. Wikipedia policy discourages linking to blogs.
There are exceptions. If this was an important interview and it was only available on that blog, it might be such an exception. But it was a reprint of an interview from a magazine.
So the solution is Google. I spent thirty seconds and found a site that isn't a blog that had the same interview. Voilà! My link probably won't be deleted.
But there's a bigger problem. In order to have an article in Wikipedia, a person must be "notable." This article fails to establish Robinson's notability. In general, a person is notable if she or he has been the subject of published secondary sources that are independent of the subject. In order to establish his notability, we need to find more articles about Robinson, such as book reviews, interviews, or news articles. — Malik Shabazz (Talk | contribs) 17:43, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
I spent some time working on the article. I also searched for articles about Robinson and found several. They helped me add a lot to the article, and I was able to add more sources (including a book review by Cornel West). The article would still benefit from some more information about Robinson — it mentions his radical politics but never describes what they are; maybe the interview would be helpful — but I think it's much better than it was. — Malik Shabazz (Talk | contribs) 00:13, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
