[edit] Attendance

Cedar Valley Middle School currently is the home to approximately 1400 students [1], grades 6-8. It was originally built for only a maximum of 800 students, and follows the floorplan of Deerpark Middle School very closely. Unfortunately, the school is trying to compensate for its large population by creating larger classroom sizes, which means extra work for teachers and administrators. There are very few disciplinary problems that occur on campus, and is looked up to in many ways by other schools, parents, teachers, and students. But, the middle school is bursting at the seams.

[edit] Academics

Despite its vast number of students attending it, Cedar Valley Middle School was only 20 students away from ranking as an "Exemplary Campus" on TAKS Testing scores. Cedar Valley Middle School is one of the highest scoring middle schools in the Austin area. Currently, Cedar Valley is a "Recognized Campus".
