Cecilia Todd (born March 4, 1951 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a singer and cuatro executant.
From very young the love by music wakes up in Cecilia, initially fed by her familiar group. At the age of 12, integrates a musical trio at the school San José de Tarbes, and her intense activity as singer and great collaborator were early recognized. Later was member of the group of Alberto Espinoza soon to begin to his own risk like solo singer. She initiates his studies of theory and solmization in the music school Juan Manuel Olivares, continues later like disciple of Alexander Plaza in the studies of Guitar.
In 1970 being member of the Grouping Venezuelan Experimental Music, makes her first public presentations. Makes debut like solo singer at the TV, in the program El Show de Renny Ottolina, in 1972 is invited to participate in an encounter of Latin American music organized by the University of Carlton, which allows her to make several concerts in Canada. As of this date has crossed several countries as much in concerts, musical recordings, and invitations of groupings, musicians and artists like: Cacho Tirao, Grupo Vocal Buenos Aires 8, Soledad Bravo, Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Libertad Lamarque, Carlos Cruz-Diez, among others.
Barbados, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Cuba, Mexico, England, Finland, Spain, France, Germany, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico are some of the countries in which has demonstrated her talent. Recording more than five albums of Venezuelan folk music, and participated in two films, with brief participation at the international television.
