It's incorrect to say that this genus is confined to North America. One example is Ceanothus 'Blue Sapphire' which is a New Zealand native and has been introduced to the Northern hemisphere from New Zealand. 218.101.120.87 14:18, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

So how is it that a named cultivar is "native" anywhere? What species is it from? Stan 17:36, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

You're right, I've discovered it is in fact a cultivar not a native. My humblest apologies. 218.101.120.1 03:33, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
