Userboxen are bumper stickers. They say things with a dozen words and a cute graphic that are probably more worth saying in a sentence or two of text-only prose. The misuse of userboxes is getting to be a serious problem.

That doesn't mean they're not fun or pretty, though. Here's my page of them.
