Greetings Regarding your image from thr Henry Doorly Zoo [1]. The photo is not a Jack, it is a cottontail. Either the exhibit graphics are incorrect and the inhabitant is mis-identified. OR the living specimen is actually a cottontail, not a Jack, and no one has figured it out yet. Please feel free to contact me. But I stake my reputation and credentials* on it. 30 years as a wildlife rehabilitator- 14 years working with and becoming an expert on Jacks- Published my paper on Jacks three times- Lectured at both NWRA and IWRC conferences- Thank You Sincerely Lady Lepus
