CatDeville, aka Catherine Deville joined Wikipedia May 3, 2006, to participate in a deletion discussion. Cat intends to contribute to some of the stubs and ongoing projects as time permits. Cat has been fascinated by the success of Wikipedia as a project, and as an academic (a student, with ambitions to one day be a professional academic), she has found Wikipedia to be an invaluable jumping off point for research and hopes to make useful contributions to the community in the long run.

CatDeville has not yet made any major contributions to Wikipedia, as she is currently learning about Wiki formats, layout and editing guidelines. This user space is currently a disclosure of her major interests both as an aid in evaluating where her body of knowledge resides and in exposing any unintentional bias which might creep into her contributions. It is also intended as practice in formatting prior to attempting more ambitious contributions. Cat would have the reader know that she is committed to following Wikipedia's NPOV guidelines and she hopes that this disclosure will help to achieve that goal.
