Talk:Casper ten Boom

[edit] Spelling
This IP says that when written without a first name it should be Ten Boom. ([1]). This is also the way it appears on the museum site: [2]. I don't know the rules of the Dutch language. Which is correct? Ostap (talk) 20:05, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I'll check the book tonight. Czolgolz (talk) 21:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- The IP was me editing from a public computer. For the rules on capitalising interjectives of Dutch names, see Dutch name#Tussenvoegsels and Tussenvoegsel. AecisBrievenbus 16:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, according to rules of the Dutch language, always capitalize the T when not using the Christian name. Therefore, it would be Ten Boom or Casper ten Boom. Hope that helps. OnFire4Jesus (talk) 8:04, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
