Description

Diagram showing the mansions and playing area for the Castle of Perseverance (a Morality play). In the middle is the tower of Mankind, with the location of each of the five mansions outside the circle indicated by the text. The text inside reads: "This is the water about the place, if any ditch be made where it shall be played, or else let it be strongly barred all about."
