Castle Rock Park is a regional park part of the East Bay Regional Park District. The park lies in a scenic sandstone canyon close to Mount Diablo in the Diablo Foothills. The park is bordered by Mount Diablo State Park and Walnut Creek Open Space; together, these three parks provide 18,000 acres (73 km²) of parkland for visitors to enjoy.[1]
Castle Rock Park should not be confused with Castle Rock state park, which is a state park located across the San Francisco Bay in the Santa Cruz Mountains between Saratoga and Boulder Creek.
