[edit] Career

Prior to joining SNL, Wilson was a performer at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCBT) in Los Angeles and New York.[1]. At UCBT, her work included the long-running "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet" sketch comedy show, written and performed with her writing partner June Raphael. The show was also seen on HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. Wilson and Raphael also worked on the screenplay for Bride Wars[2], a film expected to star Kate Hudson and currently scheduled for a 2009 release[3].

Wilson was also in the Bob Odenkirk short subject Derek & Simon: A Bee and a Cigarette and had a small role in the improvisational film For Your Consideration.

Wilson joined the cast of SNL for the show's first new episode after the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike; she was the first new cast member in two years. Wilson is now the fourth SNL cast member to be born after the show's premiere in 1975 (Kenan Thompson, Bill Hader, and Andy Samberg were born in 1978; Wilson was born in 1980.)

Wilson, is a political consultant and runs campaigns for moderate Republicans.

Her late mother, Kathy Wilson, was chair of the National Women's Political Caucus, and attended her last Republican National Convention in 1980, while pregnant with Casey. Under her leadership, the NWPC endorsed Walter Mondale in the 1984 election, and Kathy eventually switched to the Democratic Party[4].
