Welcome!

Hello, CarbonX/Archive Apr 2007, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

So that bit above is the sort of official Wikipedian welcome.

Sorry if I undid something you were working on. My intention in deleting that whole bit on Fitzmorris was simply to drastically clean up the page in the hopes that someone would come along and write something sensible. I basically left what I considered to be factual. Since I'm not from the New Orleans area, I have never heard of Mr. Fitzmorris or of WWWL, so I had no way of knowing if he was even a real person. I just decided to get rid of everything referring to him to at least make the page acceptable-looking until somebody more knowledgeable came along.

Your edit looks fine. Hope you enjoy writing articles and editing!

No worries. Don't forget to sign your name when you leave a comment on somebody's page so they know who to reply to. It's really easy; just type 4 tildes (~~~~), and your name will automatically appear at the bottom of your message.

What you wrote on that guy's talk page seems fair enough to me. Also, about the three edit rule; as I understand it, that mainly applies to pages where a group of serious contributors are going back and forth over some edit or another. When somebody's vandalizing a page, the three-edit rule doesn't really apply. I haven't been around on Wikipedia very long myself, but I've gathered that most "rules" are meant mainly to be guidelines, subject to change just like the articles themselves. Don't worry overmuch about them.
