Talk:Caroline County, Maryland

Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
BTW, the issue between Caroline County and the Town of Denton is primarily over the latter's rapid growth of residential development, much less so the commercial development (specifically the Wal-Mart Supercenter to be built on the east side of the town).
Also, I didn't change the article but I'm not aware that Frederick Douglass ever lived in Caroline County. This confusion arose because in one of his autobiographies he wrote he had been "born in Tuckahoe, near Hillsborough". His birthplace was actually on the Talbot side of the Tuckahoe River. See this article: The Search for Frederick Douglass' Birthplace. However, his first wife, Anna Murray Douglass, probably was from Hillsboro, Maryland or (in some versions) Denton, Maryland.

I wonder how he was able to gaze at Caroline County from the Nanticoke River?? He must have had an awesome telescope. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.102.25.69 (talk) 18:52, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
