Talk:Carnival glass

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is Carnival glass synonymous with depression glass? If so, perhaps a redirect page is appropriate. Gregmg 00:14, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I would say that it is very similar, but not directly synonymous. Depression glass includes milk glass, uranium glass, satin glass, and "regular" colored and clear pressed glass as well as a few others I can't think of right now. However, in my experience, when someone says "depression glass", they're usually thinking "carnival glass". An article with links to these, suggesting that "carnival glass" is the most common form, would probably be the proper article to set up. --Unfocused 00:18, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I noticed the updated link and checked it out. The website appears to be purely commercial in nature, and as such, it should be removed. Unless of course it was used somehow as a reference in the preparation of this article. I will remove it shortly unless someone can attest to the fact that it was used as a reference.
