Yes, I realize this article is a stub. I will fix\clean it up by the end of the week. I was a bit disturbed that Wikipedia had no content regarding the name so this can be the "grassroots" of my total research of the name.

I'm considering including Prosper Mérimée's Carmen into the article. It does provide quite an influence into the overall meaning of the name. --Is the true meaning of this question wisdom or logic? 21:57, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps not, though. Though Merimee's work is the main idea for the topic "carmen", it isn't a huge influence. I'll have to watch the play.

Is it really androgenous? The disambiguation page lists it as feminine, and I'd certainly call it that. 129.22.57.6 21:12, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
