I created this article from this German wikipedia article (this version), translating freely and leaving out some dubious claims. German articles tend not to use inline citations so I added the {{inline}} tag. All the German references are books for which I have no access, but I used one of the web links to cite the Carl Berg firm duration after his death.

I removed the external link "Traum vom Fliegen". Ausstellung im Museum Lüdenscheid" (http://www.traum-vom-fliegen.de/) because it now displays a Flash media intro followed by a server error. I tried to get a working copy from archive.org, but to no avail. The closest I got was this google cache of the Museum's December 2000 programme:
