Talk:Caridina murrayata

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm sorry, but I have a lot of trouble with this entry, the assertion that this evolved from Caridina multidentata over the course of a scant 100 years into a distinct species, that the isolated nature of Lake Murray should lead to accelerated evolution (Rift Lake cichlids evolved in isolated Malawi and Tanganyika over millennia!), and that there is, somewhere beyond the lake's earthen dams and human-made barriers, a population of Caridina multidentata that got separated from those within Lake Murray.

Is this a prank entry? What references are there to this allegedly distinct species?
