Cary Guffey

Cary Guffey (born May 10, 1972 in Douglasville, Georgia) is a former child-actor who has not pursued an acting career as an adult
He is best-remembered for his debut in the role of "Barry Guiler" in the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) when he was almost 4 years old. This is the little boy from Indiana who runs away to join the aliens in their space ship, returning to his mother in Wyoming.
He also appeared in the movie The Sheriff and the Satellite Kid and its sequel Everything Happens to Me, with Bud Spencer. Ironically, compared to his previous role, he portrays a little alien in these movies.
Guffey holds an MBA, and is currently a financial advisor manager in Birmingham, Alabama.
