Carrizo Solar Farm

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Carrizo Solar Farm is a proposed 177 megawatt (MW) solar thermal power plant which is to be built by Ausra in the California Valley, California. The power plant will provide enough power for 60,000 homes, and Pacific Gas and Electric has entered into a contract to buy power from the power plant. Ausra has filed the necessary building applications with the California Energy Commission and plans to have the plant generating power by 2010. The plant will use Ausra's Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector (CLFR) solar technology. [1][2]
