The Carolina Mountain Dusky Salamander (Desmognathus carolinensis) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is endemic to the United States.
Its natural habitats are temperate forests, rivers, intermittent rivers, freshwater springs, and rocky areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.
