The Carolina Business Institute (CBI) is a professional development program engineered through a collaboration between the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education.

Subjects taught include Corporate Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Operations Management and Organizational Management.

CBI's target applicant pool is made up primarily of graduating non-business majors at UNC and other schools.
Enrolment for the summer 2006 course is approximately 50 students from UNC, NC State and the University of Georgia. In addition to recent graduates, a number of graduate students and underclassmen have enrolled.
Applications typically exceed admittance. 2006 brought approximately 70 applicants of which fifty or so were admitted.
