Carlos Torres (professor)

Carlos Alberto Torres was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 1, 1950. He is a professor of Social Science and Comparative Education at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies.[1] Dr. Torres serves as director of the Paulo Freire Institute and the UCLA Latin American Center. He has published many books and articles on the politics and sociology of education, including Education, Power and Personal Biography: Dialogues with Critical Educators (1997).[2]
