Carlos E. Santiago

Dr. Carlos E. Santiago is the current chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a labor economist with regional expertise in the Caribbean and Central America, with special emphasis on Puerto Rico, and has a professorship at the Department of Economics. He formerly served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University at Albany, State University of New York; and has taught there and at Wayne State University.
Santiago has a B.A. from the University of Miami, an M.A. from the University of Puerto Rico, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University; all are in economics.
