Carl Albert Paulson (born December 29, 1970) is an American professional golfer.

Paulson attended the University of South Carolina. He was an All-America selection in 1993. He was also the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Year in 1993.

Paulson is currently not playing golf due to a back injury. He was a member of the Nationwide Tour from 1997 to 1999. He was a member of the PGA Tour in 1995, 1996 and from 2000 to 2006. Despite being a tour member in 2006, Paulson did not play in any events due to his injury. He earned his card for 2006 through a major medical exemption. Paulson won the 1995 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. He also led the Nationwide Tour's money list in 1999.

Paulson also wrote a book. In 1999 his book Rookie on Tour was published. He wrote the book with Virginia psychologist Louis Janda.^[1]

Paulson has not played in a PGA Tour event since the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee on July 21, 2005. He withdrew from that event.
