Carl Marcellino

Carl L. Marcellino (born December 23, 1942) is a member of the New York State Senate. He represents the 5th Senate District which comprises parts of Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island. Marcellino is a Republican who was first elected to the Senate in a special election in March 1995, following the resignation of Ralph Marino.

Marcellino was born in Brooklyn, New York. He worked as a teacher and administrator in the New York City school system before seeking political office. Marcellino and his wife, Patricia, have two children, Jean and Carl.
