Carisbrooke High School is a state-maintained high school for students aged 13-19. The school is located in the suburbs of Newport on the Isle of Wight, England. It is one of 5 state-maintained schools on the Isle of Wight, as well as Cowes High School, Medina High School, Sandown High School and Ryde High School.

As a Sports College, Carisbrooke High Schools houses are named in accordance with the Olympic Motto:
- Citius (Faster)
- Altius (Higher)
- Fortius (Stronger)
All tutor groups at Carisbrooke High School are vertical in nature. This means that each year group is represented within each tutor group. Rather, the tutor groups have a 'house identity' as opposed to a year group identity.

Carisbrooke High School students wear a white polo shirt with the Carisbrooke High School logo embroidered on it. Black trousers are also worn. Optionally, over the polo shirt, a school sweater can also be worn. This is blue in colour with a hoizontal white stripe just below shoulder level. Again, there is a Carisbrooke High School logo embroidered on the breast.

[edit] Key Stage 3 (Year 9)
Carisbrooke High School delivers the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum for its Year 9 students, in accordance with the subjects' Programme of Study. In the core subjects of English, Science and Mathematics, students who took their Key Stage 3 SATs early at Middle School follow either GCSE courses or enrichment courses.

Carisbrooke offers a range of academic and vocational qualifications for 14-16 year olds. To widen its offer, Carisbrooke High School collaborates with the Isle of Wight College.

Carisbrooke High School offers a range of academic and vocational qualifications for 16-19 year olds. Again, to widen the offer, Carisbrooke collaborates with the Isle of Wight College as well as through Cowes High School and Medina High School (as a confederated sixth form organisisation known as the CMC Collaboration).

Carisbrooke is situated on a 25 acre site - the largest school campus on the Isle of Wight, at points, measuring 0.6 miles across.

As a Sports College, Carisbrooke High School must have extensive sporting facilities that the students and wider community can access, including:

There are several buildings that make up the wider campus of Carisbrooke High School.
Moving from east to west:
Technology Block: houses all technologies, including electronics, textiles, resistant materials
East Block: houses citizenship, history, religious studies, PSHE, LRA, Headteacher's office, Year Base, Room 6, pastoral support, finance, attendance, ASRC,
Science Block: houses biology, chemistry, physics, applied science, pyschology and food technology
East Hall: assemblies are held here

Powerbase: additional fitness suite (accessible by general public after 6pm)

Staff Block: houses the staff room, medical room, lost property, reprographics, conference room
