The "Carcano 1891 Carbine Infantry Rifle" was the main infantry rifle for the Italians at the end of World War I and was used until the surrender of the Italians to the Allied forces in World War II. Like many other bolt-action rifles of the time it was 6.5 mm. This Carbine had six rounds (which was one more than the Italian's traditional archenemy Austria's rifle held).
