Talk:Capitol Theatre (Rome, NY)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm the webmaster for the Capitol's website. Thank you for pointing out some important info in the FAQ for me and for cleaning up the article so nicely! It wasn't my intent to break the rules so I apologize -- it was my intent to correct factual information. I'll use this discussion page from now on.
A couple of notes: the main focus of the theater is absolutely NOT silent films. Movies are just part of our programming. We show modern classics, older classic films, as well as silents and a wealth of live events and stage shows. We're proud of our variable speed carbon arc projector which allows silent films to be shown correctly. However, as our programming is far more expansive than that, I'd appreciate it if this could be corrected within the text.
I can also provide some photos and third party links (books in particular) if it's okay for me to provide that.
