Capper.jpg (358 × 462 pixels, file size: 7 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
This image was taken from here (although it can also be found here) and given that it must have been produced prior to 1923 and looks like it comes from a propaganda poster of dead generals it is very likely to be in the public domain. The website gives specific source information for those photographs under copyright here but this image is not mentioned. As I am unable to discover source information I am consequently using it here under fair use rationale until the image's provenance can be established. At the moment it is solely intended for use in the article Thompson Capper.
Fair Use Rationale
- 1. There is no free-equivalent. I have searched for a free image of this man with clear copyright information and have so far been unable to find one. He has been dead for 92 years, so obviously one cannot be created.
- 2 The use of this image on Wikipedia does not disrupt anybody's commercial usage of the image.
- 3 It is of low resolution.
- 4 It has been published outside Wikipedia.
- 5 It is used to illustrate the man in question.
- 6 It conforms to all other guidelines.
