Cape Town International Convention Centre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is a convention centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The centre opened in June 2003.
It is currently undergoing an expansion, with more exhibition space nearing completion on the south-eastern section of the property, and a 15-storey Covention Tower office block being built above. An additional expansion has been announced and will double the CTICC's capacity after Convenco (CTICC's holding company) acquire the Custom's House on the opposite side of the Foreshore Freeway. This will expand the exhibition space. Additionally, a new 500 room hotel and more office space will be constructed for completion in 2010.
The CTICC is served by the Grand Westin hotel located on the same premises in the north-western corner, and is situated close to the city centre and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Hillsong Church Cape Town will hold their church services at CTICC beginning in June.
