Michael "The CanuckZilla" Bencic

Michael A. Bencic; Where the 'A' stands for Awesome! Forged in the fiery pits of Canada, Michael has become world renowned for his skills in writing, illustration (http://michaelbencic.com/zilla-studio.htm) and ability to hold down his Tequila... oftentimes, simultaneously. Currently Mr. Bencic (when your this big, they call you Mr.) is dating the Cortanna mo-cap model fresh off the hit game Halo 3. In his spare time, Michael chews bubble gum and kicks ass for RipTen.com, www.CanuckZillaStudios.com, UMM Magazine, Bobbi Magazine, www.XboxLiveNation.com, and many others... by the way, he's all out of bubble gum.

In all seriousness, Michael cut his teeth during an eight year stint with Wizard Entertainment in New York. As a graphic designer, writer, and illustrator, Michael worked with some of the most talented folks in the comic book and action figure industry. While working and living in New York, Michael (along fellow writer James McDonough) took on the responsibility of redeveloping the Video Game Stuff section of Wizard and ToyFare. When Mike returned to Canada in 2004, there seemed to be something missing from his life... free video games and toys. With the knowledge that paying for frivolous entertainment sucks, Mike decided to launch a writing career to review games, and weaseling his way onto the comp lists of electronics companies everywhere. Having undergone no formal training, yet armed with the advice and guidance of some of the comic book industries most sarcastic spinsters, Michael is here and fulfilling that dream of non-stop SWAG. And you aren't. In other words, life is wonderful.

In addition, Michael is an accomplished visual artist. Trained as a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer. Adding webdesign to the mix, Michael is presently shooting models, and drawing Super Hero's for a series of collectible cards, along with the Bible's Greatest Hero's (no joke) which can be found on his portfolio: http://michaelbencic.com/index.html. Contradiction is fun! Only one thing could make life better.

Michael is the proud father of Anthony. Tony may only be three years old,but is 5'2" tall, and won the Conney Island Hot Dog competition this year. Life is perfect!
