CANDICE BLEDSOE (October 17, 1978- )

In the fourth grade Candice found one of her gifts, and starting writing poetry. Traveling the world with her family at a young age her parents motivated her to learn and embrace different cultures. After graduating from Baylor University, Candice traveled to Southeast-Asia where she served as an Instructor in Lampang, Thailand. As a beacon of light for many citizens is Southeast Asia, she spoke to several audiences about supporting human rights issues. Candice's international travels have allowed her to deliver poetry and inspirational speeches to uplift the citizens of Burma, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, France, England, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scotland, and Luxembourg. This poet and inspirational speaker has also graced several stages throughout the United States. Candice is currently a graduate student at Southern Methodist University. She continues to speak at poetry venues, universities, churches, and wherever she can find an ear to listen. You can always find her "speaking into the lives of others." by encouraging women, minorities, impoverished persons, and those who suffer from a broken and withered soul.
