This article should be about more than just dogs. This is the name for a general condition that also occurs in humans.

There is a bit about discoid lupus in humans in the lupus erythematosus article, as the header at the top of this article indicates. If you want, please add to this article about the human aspects of DLE. --Joelmills 17:46, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
I think that the present version of this article is a bit confusing because it does not make explicitly clear when it is speaking of the disease in the context of humans and other animals.--Betamod 20:50, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
