[edit] Remove computer stub?

Should we remove the "computer stub" template? Looks like this article is kinda long. >_> Tikal-chan 02:47, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I think the stub should be removed. On another note, "The winning player will get a time bonus, also depending how much time he or she used in that level." has been removed from the two-player section. Should it be reinserted as "The winning player will also receive bonus points depending on the time he or she used on that level," or simply left out? -- VGF11 21:55, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

No. Don't insert that phrase. That was only a speculation before I tried to play two-player mode myself. O_o When one of the boards got overflowed I did remember that both boards had the scores reset to zero! Tikal-chan 05:56, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

This article looks like a Start-Class article right now. Our goal now is to turn this article into a B-Class article. Tikal-chan 06:28, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. -- VGF11 02:48, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Parody?

How is Candy Crisis a parody of the original Puyo Puyo? It makes about as much sense story wise as the original games or the spinoffs (Mean Bean Machine, Kirby's Avalanche) did. Fortis 09:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Good point. I've changed it to "clone" for now. -- VGF11 03:06, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

I know that trivia sections must be the bane of Wikipedia at this point, but I figured that Carbuncle was worth noting, since he's in most, if not all, of the Puyo Puyo games. Dr. Crisis (I believe he is the character fpr Stage 11, but I'm not sure) is also an almost-exact copy of Dr. Dictionary, the former mascot of Dictionary.com, but I'm not sure about adding that to the article, since Dr. Dictionary is no longer on the Dictionary.com site. [edit] WP:VG assessment

I'd say this is a low-importance article, and this article definitely has enough content to merit Start-class, so good work on that front. However, there's still some work to do. Here are some ideas:

  • The addition of one of two screenshots would be a great benefit.
  • This article needs more sources. See WP:CITE, WP:V and WP:RS.
  • The Gameplay section could do with trimming per WP:NOT#GUIDE. You don't really need a section for each game mode - this is a common error. Remember, if there's any information there which is only useful to players of the game, then it's too game-guide-esque for an encyclopedia.
  • Storyline section is rather short - consider merging this into another section or expanding it if there's enough information.
  • The "Achievements" heading is misleading - it ought to be changed to something like "Reception" to be more clear.
  • See WP:EL#How_to_link on a better way to format external links.

Hope this helps, Una LagunaTalk 16:53, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
