Talk:Canadian Forces base
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Isnt there a Canadian Forces Base called CFB Connaught or just Connaught ranges? As an ex-Air Cadet from 632 Squadron Pheonix-Telesat, we used ( and im sure they still do), go to Connaught ranges to have our bush week-end, to sleep and have activities during a whole week-end on the base, and follow some of the routines: wake up bright and early ( maybe too early for some of us), and go to the mess for meals and/or have box lunches and sometimes ration packs.
I'm not sure though since its not my specialty, knowing the different Candian Forces Bases, but I know I've been there many times, for bush, and rifle pratice.
Does anyone else have an idea of what im taling? lol

I believe Connaught is just a ACSTC and not a CFB. I've looked around and there is no such thing as CFB. Connaught as it's not a military base nor is it a lodger unit to any military base. Yep Connaught is still a summer training centre in use with the Army Cadets. (CI, CLI, Basic, Para (Army Cadet Parachutist Course-For Phase One and Two, Phase 3 takes place at the Army Airborne School in Trenton [For those who went to Trenton it's the large barrack right infront of the mess hall, and vistor's quarters]) and PERT). Just a suggestion maybe we could make a list of all the Area Support Units in Canada? (Moss Park Armoury, Downsview)

[edit] Assessment
Assessed as NA because this should probably be a list.--Looper5920 06:03, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another base
Was there not a base in France somewhere (air force, I think), near the German border? My father's family lived there at some point, and I was surprised to see it not in the list, assuming it exists. 24.222.173.28 19:44, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
