Canoga is a station on the Los Angeles Metro Orange Line. It is currently the second-most westward station on the Orange Line. Buses began using the new section of transitway on December 17, 2006,[1] and the station itself opened to the public on December 27,[2] about 14 months after the other stations on the line opened. It was built to alleviate the lack of parking at Orange Line stations available in the West Valley, providing a total of 611 new parking spaces. An extension of the line going north from the station is currently being proposed; it would travel along Canoga Avenue to the Amtrak/Metrolink station in Chatsworth, providing a second western terminus.
