[edit] Nice photo

Hi. That's a nice shot of Ironton! You wouldn't happen to have one of Coal Grove you could add as well, would you?

[edit] Re: Antigen vs. Immunogen

Please recall your entry on the discussion page for antigen at [[1]] I agree with you that something seems to be lacking in this definition. How about you and I discuss it a bit and perhaps be bold enough to update it?

For instance, I think antigens are any substance that is capable of exciting someone's immune system and provoking an immune response. That doesn't mean it will.

Also, I am beginning to think there is some symantic confusion over using the word antigenic. I think people often equate antigenic with immunogenic, when I am not convinced this is the case. In fact, I'm beginning to think that antigenic means "carrying antigens" rather than "causing an immunogenic response." I have a textbook written by Elaine N. Marieb that says "Pollen grains and microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and virus particles are antigenic because their surfaces bear ... foreign molecules."

I just finished a week on immunology in a molecular biology class I'm taking at the start of a master's program in biotechnology.

Anyway, let me know how you feel about this topic today. I am surprised it has been about a year since you posted your discussion note, and it appears that no-one has dealt with this yet.

Take care, Keesiewonder 02:06, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pink Bridge Incident

Someone slapped up an AfD saying it was "per nom". Comments are welcome at Pink Bridge Incident. Thanks, Seicer (talk) (contribs) 15:49, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Newaoalogo.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 13:30, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VA Pont Park Image

Great photo! I took some last year there to submit to Wikipedia, but it was overcast and they were all crap. I had meant to go back out this summer, but I'm glad that you saved me the trip. Great work! If you could, however, can you add the datein which it was took to the image description? youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 01:59, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry so much about the exact date. Even something like "Summer of '04" or whatever would be fine. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 12:13, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:08, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
