Regarding general public access not being permitted to Camp Rucker... I was there today and while the vehicle gate was locked, there is the standard V-shaped entry that allows human access without letting cows in, as well as a sign of rules. There was no mention about public access being prohibited. Several other people came in and looked around while I was there as well. So I'm guessing that the part mentioning public access being permitted is false.
