[edit] Camp 4 (Yosemite)
I have added a "{{[[Template:prod|prod]]}}" template to the article Camp 4 (Yosemite), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Camp 4 (Yosemite). Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Questioning Deletion
I do not necessarily disagree with deleting this article, but if the information is accurate and useful to people (I am not a rock climber and could not care less), using the reason "Because another article that was similar was deleted" does not seem to me sufficient to delete. If the information is not factual or nobody is willing to bring the format to standards, that is one thing, but I am making the first discussion entry and I see no evidence if this. [edit] similar articles
There are similar campgrounds in the Yosemite regio that have articles and are much less notable than this. It could easily be said that all the on-site campgrounds of this exceptionally significant national park are notable enough for articles. if it is still thought applicable for deletion, please list as an AfD. And, if it gets deleted, consider listing all the similar ones. DGG 03:38, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

- further, I see that there is a long history of revisions of this article in the history, and it may be identical to "Houskeeping cam[p" in which case a merge would be appropriate. Certainly needs more discussion.DGG 03:41, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Keep
I find it ironic that Camp 4, which was dedicated last year (2006) for its listing on the National Register of Historic Places is being considered for deletion. This is not just any average campground, but a site rich in climber history. A merge with other campgrounds or lodging, even nearby, should not be done Dananderson 03:58, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
