Cambridge Mafia

The Cambridge Mafia was a pejorative term which referred to the fact that many senior British Conservative Party politicians of the 1980s attended the University of Cambridge.
They included[1]:
- Cabinet minister Sir Norman Fowler
- Conservative party leader Michael Howard
- Environment secretary John Gummer
- Chancellor Kenneth Clarke
- European Commissioner Sir Leon Brittan
- Chancellor Norman Lamont.
