[edit] Assessment

this article is heavy on lists and light on content (no relation to the assembly itself?). to reach B class t needs more history and function information. a section on accomplishments might be nice. Anlace 05:36, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

I began combining all of the historical senate sessions into one big table so it's much easier to read than having to look at a lot of individual tables for every year. You can see my progress so far at California State Assembly/Historical. Feel free to help and contribute to the project. There are 80 seats in california right now, so it'll take a while to go through all of them, at least for the past decade. In the future, we'll have to find information on even earlier senate sessions. Cmdrbond 21:55, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

I really think that the lists of past Assembly members that currently clog up this article frankly detract from it. I'd advocate getting rid of them. Lincolnite 15:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Alaska solves it by having a separate page for each legislative session. Chadlupkes 00:29, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Individual district pages?

What do people think about making individual pages for Assembly and Senate districts, as currently exist for congressional districts? - Fcendejas 05:56, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Other than showing a picture of the district, what else can be written? I'm not sure if the districts are interesting enought to merit its own article. But if you can come up with a lot of information for one, than I'd support it. Cmdrbond 00:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wage Info?

How much do these guys make? I know it's decent money and should be include for both CA state Senators and Assemblyman. Its public rfecord and in additions to their campaign "contributions". Somebody please get and put up the info here. Thanks!

Yes, I was just wondering the same thing. This information would be a great addition to both the Senate and Assembly articles. --Westwind273 (talk) 03:24, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] district population

I removed the following sentence California is the only state with state legislative districts more populous than its U.S. House districts. This statement cannot be correct, because California currently has 53 federal house seats, but the state assembly has 80 seats. Since all districts have to be of roughly equal population, the number of people in each state district has to be less than that of each federal one. Or is the statement refer to the California upper house, with regard to its size vs its U.S. House of Representatives delegation? If so, that fact belongs on the page for said upper house.Ngchen (talk) 15:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
