Calliphorinae is a subfamily of Calliphoridae, or blow-flies. The distinguishing characteristics of this subfamily are stem vein bare, lower calypter setose, proepisternal depression setose, thorax dull and microtomentose, abdomen shining blue, suprasquamal region bare or with only a few random setae.[2] This subfamily includes the following genera: Calliphora, Cynomya, Cyanus, and Bellardia.
