California Vehicle Code

The California Vehicle Code contains the majority of statutes relating to the ownership and operation of motor vehicles in the state of California in the United States. It contains extensive portions relating to the organization and function of the California Department of Motor Vehicles and the California Highway Patrol.

The Vehicle Code also contains various criminal law sections relating to the theft and misuse of motor vehicles.
