State Route 247 is an north-south California state highway.
It begins in Yucca Valley where it is signed as "Old Woman Springs Road." From Yucca Valley, the two-lane highway heads northwestward along a great deal of its length toward Lucerne Valley, briefly passing by the southern tip of Landers.
From Lucerne Valley and its meeting with State Route 18, Old Woman Springs Road ends and the highway turns due north toward its northern terminus at Main Street in Barstow, a short distance west of Interstate 15.
Route 247 was heavily damaged in the Landers Earthquake of 1992 and was closed for quite some time until repairs could be made.
The entire route is in San Bernardino County.
This route is part of the California Freeway and Expressway System[2] and is eligible for the State Scenic Highway System[3].
