The Cal Poly Land Project is an educational and research project about the ten-thousand acre land holdings of Cal Poly University San Luis Obispo California. It consists of three elements: a website, Cal Poly Land, a book, Cal Poly Land: A Field Guide, and an interdisciplinary University course, Cal Poly Land: Nature, Technology and Society. Though narrowly focused on one geographic area, this project has achieved national recognition as an example of bioregional or place-based teaching and study.
