[edit] Summary

Description

Large CAFS tanker of the Australian Capital Territory Fire Brigade.

Studies have shown that colours such as yellow-lime may be more visible to the public than traditional red. Overseas research examined red/white vs yellow-lime/white fire appliances. The yellow-lime/white colour reduced the number of vehicle collisions by over 50% and had the secondary effect of lowering the impact speed in any collision (where the collision with the appliance was unavoidable).
